Character
Knights Basketball Academy is focused on building young men by utilizing basketball as its vehicle. Our players will be well-rounded young men who understand the importance of competition, basketball, life, and service to others. All KBA coaches are passionate about coaching kids up.
Leadership
KBA players will be leaders on the court and off the court. Everything we do as a team or individually will have a purpose. We work together on the fundamentals of positive reinforcement. KBA Players will gain confidence in becoming great leaders as they develop as young men. KBA’s focus is to create this foundation of leadership so it will last long after basketball.
Loyalty
KBA players are faithful to one another. This loyalty will bleed deep on the court, yet also off the court. We will pick each other up. We will be positive to each other and everyone around us. We will be fiercely competitive on the court, yet loyal and kind off the court. This loyalty to one another will build a foundation of confidence that will last long after basketball.
Self-Sacrifice
KBA players will make personal sacrifices for the betterment of their team. We will be selfless on the court and off. The foundation of self-sacrafice will encourage KBA players to understand much more can be done as a team or a family than as an individual. This self-sacrifice will empower KBA players to become remarkable leaders on the court, yet also in their community. This foundation of self-sacrifice will last long after basketball.
Service to Others
KBA players will utilize the ‘KBA-Service Projects’ platform to engage in the community and serve others. KBA players will understand the importance of confidence, yet also humility. By serving community members that are less fortunate, KBA players will develop an appreciation for helping others. The ‘KBA-Service Projects’ will be a cornerstone to KBA culture. Exposing KBA players to the idea of serving others will last long after basketball.
Respect
KBA players will be respectful on the court and off the court. We will compete to win, yet it will not be the only thing. We cannot always control the scoreboard, yet we can in fact always control our attitude. Respect will be a demand. Respecting each other, our opponents, and the many others around us will be a foundation that lasts long after basketball.
Resolve
KBA players will be driven to succeed. We will set goals to create success for each other. We will have team goals that are not simply about wins on the court, yet instead about effort and attitude. KBA players will understand that hard-work is the foundation to success. KBA players should expect high expectations from their coaches when it comes to setting goals.
